DROP OFF LAY BY AND CYCLE LANE BEING ABUSED AS A LAZY DRIVERS CAR PARK. Old Trafford Chester Road near Manchester An unmarked drop off lay bay (the line you see is the outer edge of the cycle lane) is too wide for the purpose and too narrow to allow cars to reverse and park side on to each other and yet they do. This results in the start of the cycle lane being severely and dangerously obstructed. Cycles are forced out of the cycle lane negating any benefit of the segregated cycle lane. The infrastructure has a weak link.
