UPDATE THE HORSE STILES WILL NOT BE PUT BACK . However there is a conflict between horse riders and other path users as both a likely to use the larger gap . Far better to make both gaps the same width on both sides of the river , this will encourage users to naturally look ahead and avoid each other. This is on a proposed cycle link route and sadly the horse stiles on both sides of the bridge are to be renewed !! (in small writing on the draft drawing). No Motorcycling signs required at entrance to Trans Pennine Trail Bridge section into parallel to the A6144. The access barriers comprise a gaps and A frame barriers both sides of the bridge. Their purpose is not displayed thereby compromising any prosecution of any unlawful use of the trail by off road motorbiking. This used to be horse steps and an A frame this FAR BETTER !
